  • Vertical tail fin vibration

    H all

Whilst out flying today, I noticed that the vertical tail fin on my heli had a rather pronounced vibration that was clearly visible whilst hoovering the heli tail in in frontof me. I tried upping the headspeed, but vibration was still there. The main blades are tracking fine and are balanced. Tail is holding well with Spartan gyro so the vibration is not causing any real adverse visible impact to the tail, but it is annoying me!!

Heli is brand new and has only been flown 3 or 4 times and has not been crashed or repaired and I've not encountered this on any of my other heli's.

Any one got any ideas what else could be causing this vibration on the3 vertical fin?

    Cheers

    Hello,

those are the more common reasons:

tail blades unbalanced? (always check them).
    tail shaft bent?
    tail hub bent?
torque tube under pressure? (happens on some helis, when the inner tube is slightly too long)
    main shaft bent?
nitro engine problems? clutch shoe tilted, engine not sitting straight in frame, ...
