  • Pics, from the weekend

Though I'd post a few shots from the last trip out.

Found a nice waterfall to fly next to. There was no where to land so we took around 15 min to make a 'pad' from some boulders, needless to say takeoff and landing were quite a challenge!

The Trex 600 went a little low and the speed controller shorted, causing a ditching!

    Enjoy, Stu.

Yes it should be fine, its been stripped down, cleaned oiled and eventually the bearings will all be replaced.

Speed controller will need to be replaced because that burnt out when it shorted.

Servos were all dry when opened up. Fingers crossed!

You should take a table to take off and land
( would need to have adjustable legs to get level )
          have fun

Yea, but it was cracking fun. Got some fantastic shots, and the challenge of flying off a rock with a sea breeze blowing was incredible. Would do it again! What a buzz.

I was flying the 500, my mate the 600. So at least mine stayed dry!

              Cheers Paul,

Top idea with the table! We had to walk a fair way to get there though with loads of flying and camera gear as it was!

Its on the North Devon coast. We drove an hour an a half just to get to that spot from my mates house in Taunton.

                      Hi Paul,

No I didnt fly with the chaps you mentioned, in fact i dont know anyone on here apart from Tacklebury.

Devon / Somerset is a great place to fly, loads of fantastic scenic places, just need to get the internet and OS maps out to pinpoint them. This is 'Spekes Mill'. Google it and you'll see where we were, probably 1:30 from Bridgewater but definatly worth a day out.
