  • im want to know which lipo and tx are good

hi i currently own a spektrum radio and i was wandering which other brands of radio are the best in your opinion because when i step up il need a reliable radio.

and also while im here i know that kokam and thunderpower lipos are the top ranged lipos and i read the hyperion lipos give 4x more life. really?
if so let me know which one you prefer.
    thanks for your time.

I've not owned a spektrum DX7, but when I've used mates, I haven't like them. They feel nice in your hands, but I don't like the menu layout or system. Paint me a fanboi, but I've always used Futaba and likely always will. I'm just used to it and my 10C does everything I need

Regarding LiPos, the days of badge snobby are over IMO. Flightpower are crap (supposed to be a top brand). Kokam and ThundePower are good yes, but you pay an unnecessary premium. Loongmax for example are a fraction of the price and are just as good if not better.

I really like my Futaba 10CG, does all I will ever need. There was a latency table posted a while back and the 10CG is about as low as you can get - also I like the HS receivers, runs digi servo's at 7ms refresh rather than 14ms. Both my Raptor and 450 Pro are running HS receivers and digi servos and they feel very locked in compared to my older 35MHz 9C Tx.

Best Li-Po's I have are my Turnigy 30/40C's, lower internal resistance than my other packs but I have no kokams or TP's to compare to.

well thanks for your advise guys .As for the tx i was expecting someone to advise me to get the jr radio or futaba 7 channel or 8 channel, anyway and the lipos are concerned i bought the flightmax and they fall short of power at times during flight which is very frustrating. so never HK again .

I use a JR DSX9 I find it great to use and plenty of mixing options if needed, (for the dx concept) plus plenty of choice of RX as all spectrum ones work with it.
