  • Bed & Breakfast

During our recent stay in Scotland just last weekend we stayed in what seemed a lovely Victorian house owned and run by an elderly lady..

Now as soon as we entered the door into the house there was a very strong smell of dogs everywhere.

As we walked through the entrance 2 terriers and another pooch type thing mingled round our legs as we went up to our rooms for the night.

To cut a long story short we got up on Saturday morning, went down to the dining area and had our cereals and waited for our English breakfast to come.

Quite a posh room with a thick carpet laid the landlady brought our breakfast in one in each hand, The last to be served was Carl (a Stainburn member)....... when she approached Carl with his plate a sausage fell off the plate on to the stinking carpet.

She then picked up the sausage, wiped it on her apron and put it back on Carl's plate in front of all of us without so much of a hint of embarrassment with the words "its ok I vacuumed yesterday".

Not a hint of "I'm sorry" or "I'll replace that".. just back on the plate and eat it... Jeebus I thought I had seen everything..

The moral of this story is....... Never complain about Travel Lodge's again.

PS: The sausage didn't get eaten..

We said exactly the same... If that's what she did in front of us what the hell went on behind our backs..

That's a complete waste of a class A non ferrus type sausage. Dear god man, you never know when your gonna get ambushed. Take on all the rations you can.

You can always upchuck it again later, as vomit is just another varity of Irish stew.

                I've stayed in worse places

Judging by your sterling result at the event, Tim, I think you'd be tempting fate by not staying there again next year.

Think of the place as your "lucky" B&B...

Next time send on a rider saying what you want, akin that done by rock stars...

You could have heard a pin drop when she said that and gave him the sausage, Tim reckons the look of horror on my face as Carl got his sausage back was something to be seen indeed!

None of us could believe it.

Funnily enough Carl did not choose the sausage option on sunday morning......

                        Seriously though bad news.

Apparently she was rather dissapointed when we all legged it witout saying goodbye.........

Don't even go down the path of what the scrambled eggs looked like... Srambledeggs

At the side of the drive were four graves someone said "have you seen the F kin graves over there must be pets or ex pets?" or they could be guests recently departed

Don't want to think about what happened when we were asleep??
