    How buggered is the liner? This is what I did:

              Alas not, only what you saw in my post. However, the after "shot" woulda showed a nice un-scored bore and the engine is running as sweet as a nut.

                That OS55 is a steal! Shame i dont have that kind of money to spend on the engine and a new pipe!

                However the liner is not as bad as martin's, The liner has a few little scoring marks but thats about it. Should be okay to reuse i think..

                  I have just clicked what I need and prices are quite good from what I've seen around

                  Piston
                  Piston ring
                  Piston pin clip
                  Gasket set (my engine did not have a back plate gasket)

                  and that came to just over £47 excl delivery. Within £1 of Midland (no stock) and cheaper than FL (no pistons or piston pin clips in stock)

                  Don't know if they have stock but I will phone them later.
