A big thanks to Ben and the guys down at Pufleet for letting me come down for the day and see what a great site they have.

Watched some great flying and then thought lets get my in the air (1st madien on my own).

1st batt ok nothing to bad, 2nd pack ok until about half way in and i had a moment of dumb thumbs and in she went, i think this is what i needed to get out of the way as its my 1st crash with the 500 and it turns out the damage is not as bad as it looked....

flybar, paddles, bottom mount, blades (sorry ben i think i left half my blade in your field), main shaft, boom (in half), fth shaft, not had a chance to look at much else, but main gear is fine and skids are ok.

Good job i have spent the last few months collecting spares when not flying

      That's one sad looking heli!

Still, get the bits on order and get it airborne once more...

Thanks guys, yes its the 1st crash out of the way.

I did actually feel quite bad when she went in with an mighty thump, but as soon as i saw the heli lying in the grass i thought oh well she still lives to fight another day.

The mad thing is i practiced on the sim last night re-running through what went wrong and for over 30 re-runs of the crash i did not crash once on the sim.

Got to about 40-50 ft up to the left and turned the nose to try a little ff to the right added a little bit of throttle in and dropped the nose a bit and then i must have given a right ail turn to much and she started to turn right quickly, i managed to get the heli side on about 20 ft in front of me, but just didnt give enough throttle and left ail in time to bring her back level and climb out.

I could see what was going to happen but dumb thumbs set in and it was goodnight sweethart.

God this heli has got me so bad and will never let go now, i didnt think i would have shaked that much on the 1st flights though.....

PS, will also check the brearings, just need to order the mixing arms as got all the other bits in stock...
