  • learning heli and plane at the same time?

do you think its ok learning helis and planes at the same time, or is it best to concentrate on mastering one first, then the other. my experience at pressent is as below.
i am hovering fine tail in and practicing side in as much as possible. still too scared to turn and hold nose in though. flying and turning side to side in front and putting the heli 40 ft up etc is feeling ok , all with the blade 400 (7 weeks)
I have also bought a superdecathlon and have had a couple of tentative flights with help at a local club. that feels a bit unnerving at the moment and the heli feels more enjoyable. would you say flying with both is ok or can it cause issues with the heli learning

Just enjoy it, what ever you do - it's a hobby, aimed at taking away the stresses of every day life.

Nothing else you need to know really.

that is the plan. i am really looking foreward to the time when it becomes more relaxing. it actually adds more stress at times, when you have near misses.

Depends what you call learning. We are all learning all the time, I've only just started flying planes after learning heli's for a year and love both. Planes are a hell of a lot cheaper though.

Had my first flight on my wot trainer at the weekend and found it so more relaxing to fly than the heli... Not sure if the fact on a bad crash I can replace the whole aircraft for 70 notes should none of the mechanics be damaged... Maybe flying helis for a year and repairing them makes plane seem a cheaper option.....

If you been flying helis then learning a plane control is the easy part...

          Its all good fun

We always suggest you learn the basics of one at a time at our club. If you can crack FFF with the heli flying a plank is p155 easy.

                hahaha Nick, been there mate.

Have to say the basics of Planes are definately easier to get to grips with and it wont take long before your taking off flying around and landing, then you can start to just enjoy them.

Helis do take a little more patience and concentration.
                All the best
