all the parts are the same apart from the bearings and plastics are a bit brittle if you change when needed should be ok i would change the thrust bearings for trex ones when you build

I have the 500 and its quality is good, metal head, good motor (ice), screws are pretty weak and strip easily, esc went pop after 3 flights so not good on that, upgraded tail to trex 500 tail as it was just not great (plastic).

Other than that i am still setting up the heli to be 100% spot on, if you look on youtube for the 500 you will see it flys really nice and clean.

I got a 2nd hand one for £120 with esc and motor, spent another £60 on servos, £100 on spartan gyro, £100 on new scorpion esc, new align blades £25, align belt tail £15.

So overall i spent £420ish for this heli in the air, ok you could have got a trex 500 with cyclic servos, torque tube tail (cost more to replace if your newbie) esc and blades for £339.00, but then you would have to buy gyro, new esc (dont trust the align one), tail servo, so you might have saved £100-£200, which for me meant i could get big bag of spares on the money i saved.

As soon as i have mine in the air i will do a review (might be a while though)

At last the 500 was finally maidened today

it's so stable in the air it's just great, a friend had a quick flight and said it's the same feel as his trex 500, even manged a liitle bit of hands for 6 secs and it just sat there in the hover nice and stable.

Just needed some fine tuning with the pitch / throte curves to make it perfect.

In all I am very happy with the flasher 500, nice build, nice parts (except the tail).

Once I get to fly the Heli properly I will do another review.
