  • outrage or trex

hi i fly a outrage velocity 50 at the moment and i am thinking off getting a second heli, i am looking at going electric and can not make my mind up to either get the outrage 550 or hang on and give the trex 550 a go.

does anyone own a outrage 550 that can give me some info, also if it flys anything like the velocity then i think i will get one, but the price off the trex with radio gear is a good deal

    thanks

The Trex550 looks to use a lot of the running parts from the std 600. I suspect its just kinda a 600 running 550 blades so it doesnt kill 6S batteries.

I would like to think the parts are midway, size wise between a Trex 500 and 600 but no one can confirm as far as I am aware

There is talk of a Velo sparkie later in the year.

I had an outrage 550 and was a stonking machine, bar it kept stripping main gears, tried everything to get it to stop but didn't do the trick.
A big shame as it flew really really well.
I think though the trex will be the machine to have, and looks alot nicer too

The main gear has been updated now on the outrage 550. But is still only available as a upgrade and is not supplied in the kit as far as i know. Also the outrage has a fully programable head.

there's a pinion support coming for the 550 which should also reduce the gear strip issue.
