can you use glow plugs from model car engines in heli's and where is the cheapest place to buy glow plugs

i use os 8's on my cars and on my heli's/ planes they'll be fine as long as they're the correct heat range for their usage

all depends on how good you are at autos if so and you dont mind messing about with engine settings and constantly hunting for the right set up then yeh use anything you want or you could just spend a little extra and put the proper plug in and just fly with no probems up to you i know what i would rather do

whats the difference between themif you get the same heat range

the quality off what they are made of and how well built etc ,,,,, a guy at our club tryed the align plugs as they were cheep and were rated for heli engines the heli ran like a burst ass and wouldnt tune ended up haveing to reset his enfines and go back to os plugs as i say give them a go if you want as long as you dont mind messing about with setting etc worst that could happen is you blow you engine or the engine cuts out when flying and if you dont save it with an auto then that cheep plug wont seem so cheep when you have to repair your heli
