Fear not. Pete is a top bloke

At MK last year I needed a new fan and hub for the Rappy.

Pete dismantled another model in the shop and brought it with him.

Top class. If I still flew I would be buying all my spares from him today.

    Cheers

I have absolutely no doubt he does know what he is doing, I had faith in him, which is why I left my helis with him, I put no limitation on costs, and I tried to help with the problems he said he was having, IE getting the spares myself, and making the 120 mile round trip to the shop myself to deliver them, all I wanted was a helicopter that was repaired, and fitted out with some decent stuff, all done by a experienced person such as he, what I got was a box of bits, and an airframe with so many wires hanging out, it was freaky, the whole frigging saga was a waste of time.

          jwatts007,
Nobody here at any time has disputed whether or not you have had reason for some type of grievance with Galaxy or any of its employee’s, they are all simply suggesting that your method of dealing with it was and still is inappropriate. The fact that you have had to resort to name calling simply shows your lack of ability to express yourself and deal with what seems to be a simple problem of a supplier being unable to obtain the correct parts from their wholesaler due to stocking issues of the importer.
It must be said that we all get frustrated when one our birds is out of commission due to failure of some kind or another but to judge the quality of a repair that has not been completed is impossible simply because in your own words it was not completed.
As for the name calling, I think you should remember that the vocabulary you use on here is open for public viewing of all ages not to mention the way that you yourself will be judged and the type of person you are.

The Raptor was not the only model they had of mine, they also had had a Hirobe shuttle airframe. which they put a guvnor, gyro, and set up and tested by them, I was told it flew great in the testing, I took it home, started it and hovered it my garden, and it did hover ok, although I did think the revs were a little too many, I took it to where I flew my helis then, for a good fly around, and found it a bit stiff, I put it down to my inexperience, it was a week or so later that I gave the heli a good going over that I discovered that the linkages on the head were back to front, this was not something done by them, but they had test flown the thing, also the clutch broke within 2-3 flights, which could have been due to the excessive RPM, luckily the fault with the links caused no accidents, but did leave me a little concerned, considering they also had my other model as well, and was a factor in me deciding to take my raptor from them, I will add that the 2 helis were a pile of junk, and there specs were of a very low order, I take full responsibility for this, they were never going to be any good, I relies now that using a GP750 gyro with a 3001 servo just isn't going to work, what shocked me, was that he got upset, when I told him to give me my stuff back, being a customer of there's didn't seem to count for anything, it was horrible, but I really felt I had know choice, I was glad when I had paid them, got my stuff in the van and drove away, never too return, the guys arrogance had turned my stomach.

I really would suggest you stop posting on this topic while you are no further behind.

The more you post the clearer it becomes where the problems are and are not.

You have now posted enough to restore any lost confidence I might have had in Galaxy from your first post so you should be thanked for that at least.

jwatts007 I'm sorry to hear that, but I think now everyone has had their say we should just put it down to life’s rich tapestry and leave it at that. Yes I know a good rant sometimes help a belive me I'm tempted at the moment with a certain Large Fish company but really what will it do to help my situation, not a lot.

I'm sorry you consider you had a bad experience with Galaxy but there are 1000's of people that have been very happy indeed with the service they have provided, and name calling only really reflects on you not the person it is aimed at.

I'm glad you’re all up and running now and I'm sure by now you will have found another company that is better able to satisfy your personal needs, so lets just call it a day.

                All the best DD.

The day I picked up the shuttle, I asked him how it flew in the testing with a guvnor, he said and I quote, "it flew really well, I also was testing another customers shuttle, and yours was better" now considering the links were not correct on the head on mine, that other shuttle must have flown like a dog, or there was no test flying, and he was lying to me, there are plenty of self appointed judges around here, who are only to willing to be forthcoming with there verdicts on me, and the over sensitivities they have, are no responsibility of mine, I suggest they just butt out, if galaxy models had tried half as much as myself, in trying to sort the problems they were supposedly having, none of this would have happened, I lay the blame for it firmly at there door. Hopefully this will be the end of the matter.
