  • Galaxy Models - Problem

    Around a month ago I ordered 4x enya glow plugs £20 and not received them.

    I have contacted Galaxy models numerous times including today and all they say is that they are waiting for royal mail to see if they have been delievered.

    I have contacted royal mail and they cant help and im always getting fobbed off by galaxy.

    How long will i be waiting for a refund generally

      they will say give it a bit longer but if you do cancel then you might go for these OS No.8 #8 Glow Plug For FP LA SF FX SX O.S - 6 Pcs on eBay (end time 13-May-10 13:12:49 BST)
      i only waited just over a week and at £20 for six its worth the wait.

        If this is Galaxy Ipswich it's very unlike them. I personally have only ever had A1 service from these guy's and would recomend them to anyone.

        I'm sure there must be some kind of explanation and you'll get the problem sorted.

            yes its ipswich galaxy, im not saying there a bad shop i have ordered from them before they just saying they cant refund my money until royal mail as got back to them but been waiting a month

              I'm sure they are a good shop in other ways, but the approach they seem to be taking with your problem is not reasonable.

              They are responsible for delivering the goods to you and problems they may have with the agent they contracted with for the delivery are not your problems.

              If you've waited a month now then they really need to either resend the goods or refund the card.

              If it just feels like a month and it has really only been a couple of weeks then it would be different

                Galaxy models had my raptor for 5 weeks, in the end I demanded they give it back to me, they also done work another heli, that in my view was plain dangerous, there service was absolutely rubbish, they are in my view a total disgrace to the hobby, and certainly would never recommend anyone using them, the guy that does the helis is a wan-ker.

                  Elite models says it posted stuff, and then you have chase them up when it does not arrive, they treat beginners at this hobby as total fools.

                    The chap you are very keen to bad mouth is a good friend of mine and if it were not for him I almost certainly would'nt be flying heli's, as far as setup and advice is concerned there are only but a few that hold more knowledge than the combined efforts of the staff in Galaxy and although you may have had a bad expirence with them at sometime to bleet rude obscenities about someone you hardly know is out of order.
                    May I also add that the chap you mention is a well respected member of this community.

                    I do hope the postage problem is resolved and look foward to seeing your post when things go well.

                      I have to agree with Downdraft on this one. Personal attacks on people you dont know are not warranted or indeed helpful to anyone.
                      Your second post suggests you are a beginner to this hobby, IF this is the case, what authority do you have to post comments suggesting their work is "dangerous".
                      Inflammatory comments in threads of this nature do our community no good at all.
                      In my view you should retract your comment and stick to facts!

                        The guy you are talking about is one of the most knowledgeable people I know, I personally have learnt a lot from him. I have two LHS close to me and one is my sponsor, yet If I'm really stuck I don't think twice about driving the hour down to Galaxy to get his advice or even just for a gossip.

                        As for dangerous work can I just point out that even the most mundane object can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Playing devils advocate the person you are talking about does like his birds set up on the agile side, and if your a nube it may seem a bit much for you. But if you had explainded to him you wanted it set up softer that is what you would have got.

                        I would have no problem getting him to set up any of my kit, and he has in the past, but mainly due to stuff I have learnt from him its doesn't happen as much now.

                          Galaxy Models is 2 minutes walk from where I live and it's fair to say at times my wife thinks I spend more time there than at home.
                          I have been frustrated at times when they haven't stocked parts I needed but there again they can't always have all the spares for every model they stock. In the years I've been going there I've had one unfortunate incident with a 2nd hand heli I bought, the dangers of buying 2nd hand you could say, but this was resolved amicably fairly quickly.
                          I've lost count of the number of times I've been and there and having been completely stuck they've gone out of their way to help get me going the next day, whether it was cars or heli's. The guy your referring to has stayed well after shop closing time on occasions to get me flying again. As said he does like to set up his helis for full on 3D so unless you tell him otherwise he'll set it up to give you maximum performance.
                          As for the original post sorry to hear about you poor experience, may be it should have been handled better for the sake of keeping a customer but sadly you can't get it right all the time. I hope you get sorted out in the end.

                              Now that's an offer that should [at least] make up for any issue. I have used Galaxy in the [long time] past and never had an issue.
