  • BMFA and Park Hall? advice please

Hey ok so like a complete numpty i forgot to phone up and sort the BMFA insurance out earlier this week due to been stupidly busy, i have as of an hour ago paid my fees and have cover all though no written proof as yet,
    So 2 questions
1 is the BMFA open on a Saturday.

2 How else can you prove your membership

    Thanks in advance

If you have handed money over to a club for your BMFA it entitles you to fly. Not too sure how it works if you sort it yourself though

Automated over the phone i think he said to me tonight.
I know from previous years your covered the minute you pay over the phone... All he needs will be his BMFA number
How to get that on a sat I'm not sure.

Hmm, suppose the only way to try to prove it then is to take a screen print of the transaction and hope it gets accepted. Hope you get it sorted mate

Okay how's this for a solution

BMFA insurance actually cover's new starters and allows 3 visits to a club before payment... Easy enough solution

ring Park Hall explain you have payed BMFA they may let you fly

Er next time get it sorted and don't let it lapse were 5 months into the year!

                    Thanks for the suggestions guys

Yes it was automated as Grant says but i have a feeling its not actually going to be taken out of my account untill some one sits down and transfers the data manually cant see the BMFA taking the leap to fully automated systems as we think of them, the pauses between the questions were to long and i did not have to repeat myself which says allot.

I can see a issue with the starter clause purely for it been a fun fly event and no other.
I shall of course ring them in the morning my thinking though is i am fully prepared to go through and pay again whilst at the club or at least so they can here me do it and them say im covered and hope it enough.... sorry pray its enough.

If I recall correctly, any affiliated club can grant temporary membership for a small fee on the day (£5 I think), that may be one way around the problem perhaps?
