660mm blades?

I just got a pair of white SAB blades from a BMFA ad. But the seller had said they were 680mm and in actual fact they are 660mm (as measured correctly from the bolt).

Sooooo, has anyone run 660mm blades on a 60/90 heli? (I guess really they're not too much smaller than 690s but perhaps that extra bit might make a big difference). To me it seems like an oddball size.

Right now I'm not sure I can use them really. The only helis I would consider putting them on would be one of the Robbe nitros or the Raptor 90.

They are in nearly new condition so if I don't think I'll use them I'll just sell them on.

You can use them.

However you will have less lift

You will have to increase head speed/pitch. That might not be ideal depending on your gear ratio

they are the original 60 size blade
that's what the raptor 60 woodies are
and then we all fitted 680 carbon blades

and my morley f1-60 ran 660 blades
run them you will find in a auto they won't be as good as a longer blades but they'll be ok


if not send them to me foc and i'll run them on a raptor 60

Well, my inclination is to sell them before fitting them so they stay as new looking as possible. Hmmmm
