Clunk Fuel Line

Can anybody tell where to buy decent clunk fuel line. I have used Hayes black fuel line in the past but nobody stocks it anymore.

I get mine from Heliproz in the states usually but ReadyHeli have it in stock currently Hayes clunk Line 4'

Have you tried skylines? Last time I was in there they had some on the rack, not listed on the website though.

What is it about this tubing that makes it worth getting from the states?

I don't think I've seen any of it at the field as I always see clear clunk line.

Hayes clunk line is top banana. Used it after Tom recommended it and havent used anything else since

Yeah, once you go black (hayes) you never go back.
Nice and flexible and lasts a hell of a lot longer than normal clunk line.
The only thing to watch out for is sometimes it will turn your fuel black so I like to soak a length in some fuel overnight to stop this happening. It also expands a little bit once exposed to fuel so it helps getting the right length a bit easier.

Took a couple of weeks to come though from memory, works out to about £3 a foot delivered at the time.

I used to soak it first, but I now just cut it a few mm shorter than it needs to be, fit it, then fill the tank and leave it.

I also store my helis with a full tank now.

I think I'll just try to find the same stuff in the Hirobo and Robbe fuel tanks as it seems to last a long time (I think it's a thin wall silicone).

I have sent you a piece for both helis. You should get it in next couple of days.

Soak it in the fuel you will use overnight because it expands slightly. Any colour bleeding will not last long
