  • XT 60 Daft Question (Maybe)

I'm converting to these connectors, whats the thoughts on which end to put to the battery male or female. I would put the female end on the battery and the male end on the regulator end. What do you reckon.

Female on the battery is how they come on Zippys and Turnigys.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

I have just converted and like them so far, and the female connector goes on the battery as you suggested.
There is more chance of a stray piece of metal bridging the pins in the male connector.

If you look at the actual connector housing the female part has the pins in it. So slightly confusing as to what you consider is the female and male part of the connector.

What I am guessing is most refer to the female end as the male connector housing!

Good Point Andy, and I agree with you. I always think of them like single bullet connectors, where the sticky out male bit goes into the female recepticle

The connector stood up on the left is what I would regard as the male and the one to fit to the ESC
