For sale front page

Hi All,

Has the for sal/wanted section been deleted from the front page??

If so why???

Thats because no one posts comments on there any more, if you do you will get lynched so the page becomes stagnent unless a new add goes up, i personally used to enjoy reading all the flamers telling people there stuff is to expensive or crap lol. I bet its tuck some self restraint from a lot of people not to comment on stuff though .

it would be nice to see what comes up for sale when its posted
i do understand that stuart stoped the replys on the post with the way some people
use them
but would be nice to see them for the bargains

I have the FS section bookmarked, so thats what i see first when i go online.

Then just use New Posts as usual.

I have to say I do miss the FS posts on the main page, but rules are rules .

While I can fully undertand and support the "no replys" to for sale ads, I really dont like the fact they arent on the front page any more, and dont see why?

They were removed from the front page to :-

1. Discourage those that put up a FS to add more posts to keep the thread in the mainpage as no more replies to posts can be done making communication happen via PM's.

2. The site was not intended as a classifieds and the FP was becoming more and more just full of FS posts.

3. Redress balance and put the topics of discussion ahead of selling.

4. A block is going to be put onto the HP with the latest FS threads it will not be bump'able but will only list a set no of the latest threads in FS.

Honestly I'm liking the fact that I see more topics now and less sell sell sell. I will put a link into the HP nav direct to FS - but I would equally encourange those to use the RCHA software, it does a normal classifieds through to wanted and auction style and much more detail is provided plus a more accurate rating system.
