If an engine is not running right, when it was last time you flew, before making any engine adjustments it is worth considering the glow plug.

Used to change them every couple of gallons when they were about £3 and I was learning, it seemed a small price to pay to hopefully prevent an engine cut in those early nervous stages! now I've come on a bit and there double that I wait til they fail.

I looked at getting some more plugs the other day and was supprised how expensive they are! So I just change them when they die

Thanks guy......pretty much what im doing now.

Only reason I asked was someone I fly with changes his every couple of gallons and recons an old plug can effect performance.

                      Thanx

                        Plug change

Allways start the new season by changing the plug especially if the model has been idle for some tim. Also change fuel tubes in tank saves problems later.

Was up the field last week and a young lad was having difficulty starting a plank ( it would fire up but would not run evenly ) usual things he tried was changing needle settings etc. I got into conversation with him and it transpired he had not used it for 5 months. New plug and it ran fine.
