Well i took a risk and sold the trex 450v1, after having nearly 2 years out of the hobby my skills had lets say gone right down hill, every fly was a rush, and some times i did'nt even hagve a fly as i was scared of smashing the heli up as i'm skint.
So i sold it and got a copterx sev2 and a pro v3 from ehirobo thats in london at the moment with dhl woooo!
with the change i allso got
    2x turnigy 500 4000kv motors
    2x towerpro 40amp heli esc
    2x turnigy 3amp ubec
    2x dys9257 digital tail servo's
    6x towerpro mg90 for cyclics
1x hobbyking 401b ( will do the mods first. )
    1x 6100e spektrum 2.4ghz reciever.

Will be taking all the servos apart and checking the wires are soldered correctly ect, after i've tested they work corectly of course .
theres a couple of things left to get like connectors and a few align bits, ie shafts but that should only be a few quid.
In total i think i'm looking at around £150 for a full setup on each heli allthough i have a futaba 401 for 1 of them.
Cheap as chips and as long as the electronics hold up everything should be fine!

Should be airborne again for the weekend.
    God bless me lol

Interesting. I have an HK401b on one of my 450s and it was worked really well from the beginning and I was not aware there was a recommended mod for it.

I just saw a mention on rcgroups about putting foam tape in a spot on top of the circuit board. But he said it was moving around so maybe not all are loose that way. (I googled it and found that same link just before you posted it)

I'll do it anyway just tobe safe as on hk forum some have said the innards have come loose, allways best tobe safe than sorry, just like checking qc on the solder inside the servos, cheap things are worth a good look over.

All servo's and spead controllers have just come, just waiting on the heli's in london and the motors in leicester now to arrive.
This will be my first true biuld from scratch, can't wait for a few days of fun time building.

I wish i did, i look back at that summer with extreme fondness, just wish i could afford to keep what i had back then.
After havin a esky belt, king 2 then a mini-t the raptor was bloody brilliant, it was like it flew its self it was so stable compared to the little uns, i learned alot that summer, was doing alot of mild 3d with ease, did i say i loved that raptor lol.
And yes i am enjoying myself, thats what it all about, i'll enjoy myself with some better gear come summer whne my skills are back on form.
