Just sold a never been used TX on ebay for silly money then the winning bidder sends me a message saying sorry they don't want it cos they have bid on two and won them both.

Well it aint the money 'cos its just small change but don't people just Pi$$ you off some times

Its getting silly on that site... sold an iphone twice with buyers not paying and it just causes ball ache with re listing and trying to get fees back.

long gone are the days where people bought and sold on there with proper etiquette and respect. Bargains are also very hard to find in genuine form.

Avoid like the plague if at all possible now

I think some of it is kids bidding on stuff too. I sold a few items and then get some email that could only be drafted by an 8 year old, saying they just bid and didn't know how it worked. Annoying though.

i only use buy now and bid on items from reputable sellers.

been stung way too many times.

IIRC you cannot leave the buyer negative feedback which is wrong.

The buyer can leave a neg on the seller though.

i would reply saying its his problem for bidding on 2 items at same time & now has to pay for yours or gets negative feedback...

thats such a bummer not had that problem myself.. as yet..

IIRC you cannot leave the buyer negative feedback which is wrong.

The buyer can leave a neg on the seller though.

Your correct, sellers cant leave negative or neutral feedback - only positive... makes you wonder doesnt it

Apparently when ebay put this into place it was so buyers couldn't be threatened by sellers, like when they mess you about and bid but dont pay etc...

phones are the worst things to sell on ebay, you always get some scamming idiot messing up your listing at the end (not that I have sold a phone on there but a mate does whenever he upgrades and then regrets it each time).

Only really buy things on Ebay now. The items that I do buy I either go to collect in person or they are £1 items like heatshrink, braid etc.

I thought that ebay had pretty much stopped the ability for a seller to leave negative feedback.

Found out you can get your fees back if the buyer agrees to your canceled transaction....which in my case they did......so try this

Go to My eBay. You may be asked to sign in.

Click Sold.

Next to your listing, select Resolve a problem from the pull-down menu.

The Resolution Centre – "Resolve a problem" form appears.

Select "I sold an item and want to cancel the transaction" and click Continue.

Sign in to your account. The "Cancel a transaction" form appears.

If you get to the Resolution Centre from your item listing, your item number is already filled in.

If you get there another way, enter your item number and click Continue.

Under "Give the buyer a reason for wanting to cancel this transaction", indicate your reason for canceling and click Continue.
