What's This?

A work colleague of mine went to the Gadget Show the other week at the NEC and bought one of these for her son. He's now broken it and she's brought it into work asked me if I can fix it .

The flybar bit is busted. Thing is, I don't know what make or model of heli it is. Looks to me like a cheap and nasty imitation of an MSR or something, but I might be wrong.

Any ideas, and if so, who sells the spares?

No worries. What they are like as a supplier I can't comment on, nor am I aware of any of the more well known to us sources as having spares. Might be worth a bit more googleing tho, just in case?

Mark up a pic with what you broke. I've got a few bits for these - my son was playing with them.
They fly quite well - more fun than a picoZ, a bit limited as its rudder and elevator only. The one we got doesn't have the gyro so it starts with the rudder over one way and finishes with it over the other (like a picoZ).
There are many variations on the styling - ours is a trex clone!

That's a very kind offer but there's no need.

I'm not going to fix it for the lad. Half the fun of these things is fixing them and getting them going again. His Mum is going to order the bit he needs (I've shown her which bit to order) and encourage him to repair it himself. If he still can't do it then maybe uncle Steve will help out.

There's a shop in the Westfield shopping centre (near my workplace) selling these. I won't be able to get over there today, but I may be able to get over there tomorrow and see if they have spares.
