Sorry to hear about crash never like to see any heli in that state. good to see you got all parts now, get it back in the air again, good luck with the rebuild.

That really sux big time Something like that is my worst nightmare.

I suppose the thing that might work to stop it is to throw a blanket over it or something, then get to the fuel line or something as quick as possible.

A Trex 700 did a similar thing at our field last weekend. I didn't see it happen as I was flying but it was in a hover then just veered off and hit the deck and began to beat itself to pieces.

A failsafe device with it's own power source might prevent it in a lot of cases but only if the throttle linkage stays on.

Great news, the rebuilt is complete after being shelved for 2 months.

I cannot wait to get her in the air again. I've set up the head using the advance settings so I'm expecting a very nimble heli!

I didnt like the advanced settings tbh, hard to make anything look smooth and consistant.

The head is setup with a combination of mostly advance and a couple of intermediate settings. Will report back tonight if it is still in one piece

Hi Mike,

Yes it flew! It tracked beautifully. Head was set up on the bench and no further adjustments was required.

The only thing that bothers me is that the piro rate in a stall turn is not constant. I normally do a 540deg piro before coming out of the stall turn, but for some reason the piro starts slowly and then whip around at the normal rate.
