    Friday eveneings carnage

    Heli 1, 600n sport - engine all out of sorts, retired for bearings (stripped it down, bearing is sh1t but everything else OK).

    Heli 2 600n pro - 3rd tank and I lose it on the third lap backwards upside down (why can't I do backwards upside down circles for real when I can do them forever and figure8s on phoenix! ). Undercart, flybar, blades, shafts as well I expect. Tail survived. Broke the exhaust pressure nipple off the tank which is a new one on me.

    Heli 3, 4th pack through the 500, one more flight before I leave. finish with a big high auto and end up almost flying into me, stalled it at waist height, and it hits the deck and boom strikes. Blades, boom, rear stay saddle, shafts seem OK. Sounds like the motor needs new bearings. 18 months in with the 500 and thats its first crash....

    Perfect weather it was, perfect pilot it was not...

    The engin from the pro is now in the sport so at least that one is ready to go!

      Sorry to hear your having a bit of bad luck

      Backwards inverted is hard but have made sure the swash stay nice and level in it's travel with a tool not eye?
      if you find it rolls alot fly slower with less pitch to stop it rolling so fast.
      also it's hard to get out of so find a few ways to make your self feel more in control.
      Keep pushing your get it

            Sorry to hear that Gordon, Having seen you fly and do autos recently I can vouch is was not lack of skill, I guess just one of those days

              I think its fair to say everyone gets their share of bad luck in this hobby.

              Fingers crossed you will have another 18 months of trouble free flying Gordon.

              I wish I could last 18 month without any damage.

                  18 months trouble free applied only to my 500, and since I acquired more lipos for it and thus started to fly it more its days were bound to be numbered!

                  I think I saw a blinged up hanger queen in da busterboy house that looked like it might last a really long time without being crashed!
