When I first started I had a Sceadu 50 as one of my heli's, I switched on my transmitter and the heli and continued with the starting process, As it burst into life the engine screemed at full throttle(luckily someone had hold of the blades whilst I was starting it) the clutch was slipping round in the bell and It stunk of burning with clutch dust everywhere, In a frantic panic I pulled off the fuel pipe and it ground to a halt, I then realised I had it on the wrong model! So during the week I stripped out the bell replaced the liner and put a sticker on my transmitter with the words "CHECK MODEL", The next weekend I rolled up at the field and got my heli out and checked the correct model, went to start it and yes it happened again! Why? Because I hadn't turned the dam heli on this time! and where I had messed about on the bench the throttle had been left wide open! Needless to say the other's found my actions most amusing with various comments about needing a new sticker!

Well, last Sunday I needed a wee at our field, so I headed into the bushes to the left of the field, only to discover that I "went" in the ladies bushes!

Apparently the gents are the bushes on the right!

            Imagine my embarrassment!

A mate of mine just got a red arrows edf jet off ebay. Neither of us had flow a plane before so he gave it full throttle and it went flying down the field but would not take off. We then thought maybe we sould try it into wind, so we readjusted our take off path and he gave it full throttle again. about halfway down the field it suddenly shot into the air, my mate grappled with it for about 10seconds, then it nosed straight into the ground. We were laughing much it took a while for us to get to the model. When we got there it was snapped clean in half!!! We were still laughing and its now all fixed

I happen to be the lawn monitor at our club.

One hot summers afternoon I was cutting the grass, which involves going round and round in an ever increasing spiral, so that the grass gets ejected off the "field", as the sit on mower does not collect the cutting, and the ejection shute in an the RHS.

I was doing it on and off as people wanted to fly.

A mate was sat in a chair "asleep", with his Raptor 50 sat beside him, each time I went round, I got closer and closer, until finally the grass cutting started to cover his model...... I had a wicked smile on my face

That was until I finished and walked up to him, expecting a tirade of abuse.........it was at that point that EVERYONE fell about laughing, because he'd swapped models, replacing his model with mine, while I had my back to them. So I ended up cleaning off my own grass cuttings, and was the butt of great humour that afternoon.
                            Janek

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

                              My story:
i was on aour flying field, wathing a t-rex 700 (converted to electric) and a Henseleit TDR flying at the same time.
                              Suddenly a big "BANG".

The two helis crshed in the air.
But...the TDR felt down like a stone in many parts....
The T-Rex just kept on flying....
He landet and there was only a small scratch in one blade...

Awsome....the TDR almost exploded nd the t-rex hat almost no damage.
