A Day of Inverted Firsts

A fantastic day of inverted circuits, all 5 of them and half piro flips. I couldn't stop shaking, it was just like the first upright circuit I done a year or so ago.

I feel really at home with my 600, yeah it rolls to the right in tick tocks but I've even got to correct those as I know it happens. When you click with a model it feels really good. Woohoo!

A great day had by all. I guess it would be fair to say today was the first time I really "flew" a CP heli (600N).

And it felt gooood!

Now just need to get the confidence to fly without training gear - maybe another couple of tank fulls and I'll be there.

I only ran three tanks through it, but every tank felt better and the last one was with a bit of gusting going on, but I managed to keep it in pretty much the same place. Got to about 4ft up which was also quite exciting.

Haven't flown my heli for about 1.5-2months. Been having electrical failure with it and have had other things going on in my life where I haven't given a shit about heli flying. Anyway as somebody decided to blow me off on something else I had planned today, kayaking, I decided to reposition the gyro, rx and esc on the 450sport.
After I had fixed a few other things such as knackered shaft collet I took it out for a spin.

Put a battery through and no electrical faults this time. Anyway to cut a long story short. Have been looping the heli a few times today which is a first for me and I feel really happy as it's been such a long time since I've flown. Also tried a few side on hovers and was quite happy with the results. Had a few scary moments where I was putting in the wrong inputs (disorientated) but managed to recover.

Nice one Dave....i know how you feel because i did my first inverted circuit aswell today

I did one circuit and halfway round the next one i put to much rudder in and not enough pitch so it ended up inverted hovering

My other first was to tell a planker to STFU!

Glad someone had a good day. Tried a different combination of tape on my Trex 500 3G which was not sucessfull (currently being put back to flybar). Put 3 packs though my 450 Pro, but still not happy with it. Just doesn't feel as good as my old V1 (maybe been spoilt by the 500, never owned that when I had my original 450). Also puffed three 3s 2200 cell Turnigy packs even though I was not really doing anything more than flying around. Not sure if I got a bad batch, but the 30c ones I've had have all failed within 10 cycles ??.

Can't be arsed buying more packs for the 450, so it's up for sale and going back to flying the 500 and the nitro's.

Just one of those days, but feels worse as it was such a nice day.

Was hoping to get some more inverted practice in today, managed to fly in from a circuit inverted and park it in front of myself a couple of weeks ago. Definitely improved my confidence, and got a really buzz from doing it.

we had a good day today at our club site, four heli pilots and equipment decended on the field and basically had a helei day, a couple of came and flew planes, but only had a couple of flights each

got my 700 down to within a couple of feet of the ground inverted then nearly trashed it doing an inverted climb when I inputed some aileron as well

Still recovered it and landed safely roll on tomorrow
