Anybody using Radix blades on there 450 Pro?
I had a pretty big smash with my 450 Pro (Rx failure/servo failure I think). Well after replacing the Rx, 3 new servos, headblock, main blade grips, mainblades, most of the shafts, plus other stuff I got it ready to fly again.
First flight back and the machine is vibrating badly, almost unflyable!
After replacing so many bits I was abit miffed that the repair bill was getting bigger! Tried replacing the tail shaft and tail grips as they didn't appear damaged in the original crash.
No improvement! So £200 in to fixing the machine and it is still vibrating like a good'un!
I decided to try a different set of blades. Stuck a set of Torsions on and the machine is as smooth as silk! Put the Radix back on and it was vibrating again!
The only thing I noticed was that the Radix are quite loose in the Grips, but not that loose that you need a spacer.
Anyone else had similar? I am going to take the blades to work to weigh them for balance.
Abit of a shock that the blades are the culprit as I've had quite a few sets of Radix over the years with no issues. I got the Radix 2nd hand but looked in good condition.
*** Edit - Problem found - Looks like the used set I bought on the BMFA were an unmatched set of blades.*****
