After having read the thread "I blooming done it" by Satch last Saturday, I couldn't resist the urge any longer, so decided to set my T Rex 450 up with negative pitch and an idle up throttle curve.
Well I did that during the week, and have since then been looking at it wondering if I would actually have the b**ls to click the switch and go for a flip.
Thankfully I had a perfect excuse not to, what with the weather being so grotty and windy etc.
Until this afternoon that is
Anyway I did a couple of packs getting used to switching in and out of idle up and punching the throttle through positive into negative to get the feel of things ....... So far so good.
I was now left with no more excuses.
I flew her straight away from me, gained plenty of height and went for a backward flip
I went perfectly
all be it a little slow on the roll rate, but not too bad, and I was delighted to say the least. Having calmed myself, I landed, put a fresh pack in and did two more
Came home with my heli in one piece and feeling well chuffed with myself.
Thanks Satch
I might not have pushed myself it it wasn't for you and your thread
