I have a copter x 450 and couple times by mistake I have turn the TX off so you can guess what happened next.Is there away of setting a fail safe so that it just go's to zero throttle if the signal is lost.

Chris, just make sure you have calibrated the throttle cannel first then rebind setting the fail safes, always calibrate with a linear 0-100 throttle curve.Alex

What pitch curves does everybody use when binding.
An idle up type curve that gives somwhere in the region of -/+ 11 degrees or a normal curve which has say -3/+11
To me it makes more sense to bind in normal mode with a -3 pitch curve so the heli is not shot into the floor due to the large negative pitch when in fail safe.
Im interested to know peoples views/ experiences on what is the best pitch value to use should a fail safe condition occur

You should use a normal curve when setting failsafe, in the event you need it you wont drive it in at -13
