  • North east flyins?

Iv just been reading the charmouth thread and I would love to see a flyin up here in the north east. Im not saying I would have a bash, Id just love to see someone doing 3d up close instead of on youtube
Just seems to all be sort of midlands down over for flyins and comp events.

So is there any events or flyins up here in the cold windy north east?

Why not have a go at organising one yourself, it's not too difficult. Just needs one person to want to do it and a few volunteers to help, and a site to use.

Tim is only down the road from you, on the correct side of the River Tees and not a Geordie... LOL

He often has some fly in's - If I were still in the Boro I would be down there every weekend

              Couple that spring to mind...

Great North Flyin @ Cramlington held August / September time. (It'll be wet)

              and periodically throughout the year

              Albamarle Barracks Flyin's @ Ouston

and of course, most weekends, South Shields contact Made2Fade on here.

Don't know of any closer to 'Boro as you need a passport to cross the Wear and getting through the Tyne Tunnel is bad enough.

              Hope it helps

There are a few clubs in the area from teeside heli's to one in north yorks, washington heli - but they have restrictions on timing etc.

If we have a venue then I'm sure many will come....
                Cheers

Would be great just to come along and see something local being done, even been thinking of seeing some "proper" heli flying by popping into a local club.

IIRC there is one in Doncaster and I think there is also the one on the road to Croft iirc (TMAC?)
