  • Lipo not charging to 4.v per cell ??

Just put my packs on charge, 5000MAh 6s Turnigy's. First pack charged no problem on the Cellpro, but on the second pack it has stopped at 4 volts per cell ??. Tried charging at a lower rate, but charger says it's full ??.

Even tried another charger, but again the finish alarm went off, but the cells are all at 4 volts ??.

Anyone else had this ??. These are new packs, and were flying fine this morning. Can't understand why one is playing up. Like I said, all cells are balanced, no puffing of the pack etc.
    Cheers,
    Simon

A quick guess, but try discharging the battery with a light hover for your default time and then try charging again.

Just trying again on other charger, had it set at 50% storage

Be interesting to see if it does the full charge ??.

        it will :-)
Cycling new packs a couple of times, avoiding current peaks, is generally a good idea.
In other words, don't try immediately how much punch it has. I don't need an excuse to do hover exercises, alternatively use the discharge function on the charger.
At least Hyperion recommends this officially. The first "proper" charge is still part of the manufacturing process, sort of.

Seems to be charging okay on my old Thunder Power charger. Will have to keep an eye on my Cellpro just in case, I've not had it long. This is the first problem I've had using it, otherwise it has been spot on.
