I had 3 opportunities to lose the new-to-me TREX 700 on Sunday. First out I badly lost orientation but managed to recover from a fast-forward inverted pass downwind over my head at about 100ft up. Then I had 2 forced-autos when I ran the tank too low then tipped the heli forward to accellerate. On the second occasion the heli was heading for a ploughed field so I managed to trade some headspeed for a 180-degree change of direction. She was very out-of shape on landing nose-in and tipped, but fortunately no real damage was done and was flying again 10 mins later.
I consider myself a very lucky chap.
