  • Quick Knight 3D question for Ade and co.!

Ade / BobJ or anybody else who may be able to help !!

I'm just about to order a Knight 3D kit and I'm going to build it using the parts fitted to my Sceadu 50. Does anybody know if the kit comes with main blades? Sorry if this is a silly question, but it's the first brand new heli, so I'm not sure what's normally included.... Also, is there anything else that I might need that I won't be able to swap over (i.e fan, engine mount etc..). If the blades are not included, I presume my Hirobo glass ones will fit??

I know I could wait until tomorrow and ring Skyline, but I'm probably going to order it tonight ! Damn I'm impatient !!!

    Cheers
    Simon

nope, no main blades or muffler

your hibobo glass ones will work just fine be careful tho i have heard of them breaking in the air. i wouldnt run over 1800rpm with them and def keep away from the aggressive stuff

Thanks for the quick reply. No need to worry about the aggressive stuff, that's way beyond my ability. To be honest, I certainly don't need the 3D, but at only £100 more than the sport and still only the same price (or near enough!) as a Raptor, well why not !! I presume my muffler will fit?? I'm not sure what make it is, but it only mounts on the engine and nowhere else. Sorry for all the questions....

        muffler should be fine then

you might want to change the paddles. the standard sport ones are spot on. i havnt tried them yet but i think the 3d paddles will be a fraction too light.

          Sorry Ade, another question...

I think I might have made the wrong choice (don't worry, I've not ordered anything yet !!) I think I have wrongly presumed that the 3D is part way between the Sport and the Pro with a combination of plastic and metal parts but a bit more trawling through the net is telling me that they may be two completely different helis. As I said in my earlier post, 3D flying is a long way off for me, I just want a heli that is strong (for those "accidental" landings) and well made. I also want a stable heli. This is leading me to thinking I might be better off with the Pro. What do you advise? Is the 3D going to be too lively for my (in)ability?

Oh, and I've sent you a PM .....

          Thanks

"You might want to change the paddles."

Both paddles are now supplied in the 3d kits, the lighter 3d ones & the slightly heavier ones which are with the sport

            Best of both worlds.

And best of all the canopy comes in the same box, so its easyier to ship!

3d and the Sport are the new kids on the block, The idea was the 3d was brought out to replace the pro, although using parts from all models that are proven, and trusted.

All models are good, but the sport and 3d just fly so much easier than a sceadu.

There is no weight gain but they fly so much lighter.

The 3d just tracks a little better, and is based around a 90 style build with the side frame made out of G10, so theres less flex in the frames, and the engine mount is a good design as well.
