I was just wondering if anyone had ever put an engine in a 450 size heli? I dont want to do it but am interested to see if it has been done. i mean, puting on a .10 aero engine in one. I think that would be soooooo cool!! You could adapt parts from centurys nitro kestrel as they are small?

There have been two available off the shelf over the years - the Century Kestrel and the Zoom 400 ic I think. Both use 15/10 size engines, both scream their nuts off at about 3000+ rpm head speed and neither are particularly good, but there are a few Youtube and similar vids about of them flying.JR Vibe Fifty fb (YS56)

Always wanted to fly the Zoom 450 IC to see if i could kill the engine."Anger and Frustration bring the best out of my flying ability.. because generally I don't give a shit either if the machine hit's the deck or stay's in the air - both will accomplish satisfaction, but most of all it exerts the feeling of flying conservatively. - Callum"

i've seen a photo of the trex 450 with an ic engine
i wouldn't bother at this size electric all the way
i can't remember if it was the zoom or kestral ic that i set up for a chap
it did fly on 30% but power was low and the noise was loud
i only did a couple of 8's with it as i didn't trust his buildingHirobo Turbulence D3
