A Call for help

Hi all

I am wondering if anybody has a broken main blade that they no longer require and is due for the bin.

It doesnt really matter what size it is although preferably a 325mm blade.

It has to be carbon fibre construction and if it is broken into several sections I would need all pieces so I can take rough measurements of dimensions.

So please can anybody help me I really dont want to have to buy a new blade and then cut it up.

If you have something that will fit my needs either pm me or reply here and I can arrange payment for the postage and packaging or any other costs via paypal or bank transfer

Just to confirm mate is it a carbon blade and do you have all the pieces - especially the blade root.

If so that would be awsome.

Ah unlucky here, i threw out 3 odd 325mm blades yesterday, and the bins got collected today, if only you posted this yesterday

As satch says its for a UNI project. I have to do an FEA analysis on a composite structure using a program called ANSYS, so of course I chose something heli related
Im going to analyse the stress on the rotor blade. Initially just from the rotation and hopefully, time permitting, then add the effects of stress due to the bending of the blade from the lift generated. However I dont know how the blades are constructed so i need to measure one then rip it apart.

Im busy permanantly at the moment satch - end of term is rapidly approaching and ive got loads to do but it looks like im gonna have to take a trip down your way soon.

However if your planning on comming down this way there is always a place for you to crash i may just be locked up behind a computer screen
