Just finished rebuilding my CC450 after I had a tail first landing and was itching to get out and fly it again.
Putting all the stuff in the car it was cold but no wind and still light enough.
Get to the field and the wind is definitely making itself felt. Went for it anyway (I really should grow out of that) and after lift off I was having to have the heli at about 40 degrees to counteract the gust that perfectly coincided with my lift off. Had a hell of a job getting it down as well, it almost seemed to be floating on the gusts of wind as I dropped collective lower and lower. All down safe and sound in one piece so a result of sorts I suppose.
Finished up with a bout of adult behaviour and called it a day before I planked it in again.
No fair, charged battery and ready to go heli and the weather is now laughing at me
