Jolly cold here!

It's a good job you didn't risk it sheryl, it's so bitterly cold here and the wind is not dieing. Been here over an hour and not flown a thing. Going to call it a day very soon

Well I went out there today and although it was mostly sunny and supposed to be 7 degrees, it was quite windy and the chill factor was the problem. So I did three tanks in the Ely.Q and one pack in the 450 and then even though my hands weren't that cold, I was starting to shiver, so called it a day after a couple hours. It was nice to get out there regardless but I will be looking carefully at the forecasts for better combinations of sun and wind.

I was hoping to get out there today Sheryl, but had to wait for Sky HD to be installed! AM booked in, guy turns up at 11:45 ! arghh. Was down there yesterday though with Cupracing, got two flights on my foamie plank which I througly enjoyed despite not feeling my finger tips afterwards, could not be asked with Nitro in that cold a wind !

Yeah, I arrived at noon and was the only one there for a while and then Roger showed up and flew a nice looking MD530 and a Trex600.

It would have been great if not for the wind making it so much colder. It wasn't so much my hands being cold but just being cold all over. So I did not practice my lazy 8's like I had planned

I tried the number 7 plug in the Ely.Q and played with the mix control and it's hard to say if the idle is any better really but maybe just enough to make the difference. At least it starts reliably now and seems to idle well enough for the moment so I'm content with that.
