  • Dragonus spares

Skyline Models are stocking Dragonus spares,I've just ordered some and although a little bit dearer than going abroad, not enough to warrant waiting for stuff through customs and possible duty to pay.

I thought the spares were very reasonably priced eg,pack of three main shafts at £5.99, pack of four feathering shafts £4.99 and a pack of two main gears £5.99.

Main thing that was worring me but then I will still probably get most of mine from abroad assuming I like it when its finished and when I can actually afford some servos for it

Stuff coming from far east rarely if ever stops in customs to get loaded up, much better than from the other direction where our relationship with our "Best Mates" decrees that both sets of customs goes through every package with a fine tooth comb

Good to hear that spares are reasonably though even in UK.

a few things about the bird I don't like or could be better but it seems very nice so far

It would seem I gave the wrong information and Skyline are not stocking Dragonus spares.

It's nearly two weeks since I first contacted them with an order and they told me that they had everything except the mainshafts.I phoned them last Thursday to find out the situation, still no main shafts, so I asked to just send the rest of the order.
I phoned them again today and was told they didn't have the order, or it had been sent to someone else !
I started to give my order again and it would seem there are other spares I ordered that they don't have, so the man I was talking to said I'd be better off getting my parts from somewhere else.

I'm really disgusted with Skyline, they've messed me about for nearly two weeks.I could have ordered my parts from Fung or if I'd known at the time from Overlander, and I would have been back in the air by now.

The European Importer appears to be totallly useless. These heli's have been available in the USA and Asia for bloomin ages now - and many kits have been sold overseas - but none here because they simply are not finding their way to UK or european model shops! I wouldnt be too quick to blame Skyline I bet they are as annoyed as everyone else at the fact that they have got no stock!

I do blame Skyline though, they've strung me along for nearly two weeks saying it was only mainshafts they were waiting for and everything else was in stock. Why tell lies ?

Then to finally say they hadn't got the parts which they'd been telling me they had and to get my spares from someone else is disgusting,as far as I'm concerned they have no integrity or credibility as far as what they tell customers.

If they'd said right at the start they hadn't got the spares I wanted I would have gone elsewhere, but no,here I am nearly two weeks later having to order from someone else.

Overlander is the importer as far as I can ascertain and in future I'll go through them or order from Fung.

Edit....just spoke to Overlander and my spares will be in the post tomorrow.

the distributorship was unexpectedly moved which left Skyline in the lurch somewhat. This was due to a change in the European distributor whose UK arm is Overlander. Unfortunately this is one of those events where you as a customer have got caught up in some unexpected events outside the control of the shop (skyline)

I can understand getting caught up in events outside of Skylines control, but to be told lies about actually having things in stock, then messing me about for nearly two weeks and then telling me I need to get the spares from somewhere else is inexcusable.

Anyway as far as I'm concerned Skyline are now history.

I thought it was climb-out? Has that changed?

i believe its now overlander. Im sure they will do well with it. its a great model.

i personally would have liked to have seen it stay where it was.

I might have this round my neck, but I was told that A2Pro are the main European distributors and Overlander have been appointed the British distributor.
Hopefully I'll get the rest of my stuff tomorrow from Overlander,I've already got the mainshafts I ordered, busy at the moment making an adapter so I can use the new stronger Trex main gear with the Dragonus one way assembly.

It'll be nice if someone like Fast Lad start to stock Dragonus spares.
