    No Bleeding Way

    Just had to be my pot luck right?

    Order my Spares for my 600n except the main shaft bearings.. 24 quid repair..

    I get on to do the repair.

    Only to find a bit of rust type shit around the muffler.. i say to myself ahh nothing bad, until i find a damn crack in the crankcase

    Just a note..

    It seems to be cracked where the mount holes are.. not actually penetrating the engine.. so might be okay

      Hi

      If you mean the crack(s) are starting from the muffler mounting holes then this is common crash damage and unless they are excessively bad are not a problem and won't hurt the engine.

          I have a pre 'Hyper' OS50 with a small crack on one side of the muffler mount and it was there when I got the airframe but doesn't seem to be going anywhere or causing a problem.

            On one engine I managed to rip a complete chunk away from the top mounting bolt hole on the crankcase, as viewed with the engine in the model. As it was not affecting the seal of the exhaust it still worked fine.
