glad to hear you sorted it out, just put a couple of cycles through it gently and keep an eye on it when charging

        Hey.

If you've cut the foil cell bag in any way dispose of it matey as it cannot be repaired. Soldered joints can be and this might have been your problem, bit you've mentioned cutting a cell so I'd get rid of it.

Me and my flying buddys seriously abuse tired old lipos by charging th on the wrong settings etc and while we've nor had one go up during this time I wouldn't take the risk in or around my home.
I will add some do burn very well when then stabbed with a knife ;-)

No he shorted it when he cut the plug off the output wires. He wasn't thinking straight and cut both wires at the same time.

                WHY??

If it takes a full charge OK? and you cycle it gently a few times to break it in you will know if its right or not i fixed a couple of lipos and they were fine but also some not so good but you wont know till you try it.

I did this the other day. I was soldering on bullet connectors, and I cut the negative lead. The knife slipped a bit and the very end of the blade pieced the insulation on the positive producing a tiny spark for a split second.

Doubt I need to worry bout that? It was less than the blink of an eye...

Probably okay but keep a close eye on it. I've accidently shorted a couple of packs and ended up killing a cell, all the other cells were fine though - not a lot of use.
