Started in this great hobby in december... and as follows

December - Brought Mini Titan - 1 flight
January - Brought Trex 500 ESP & DX7 - again only 1 flight
February - looking for a 600 size heli and want some advice

I'm Looking at a 600 or simular size heli .. now I was looking to stick to electrics for convenience but something tells me I should get a nitro.

Whats better and why?

Ive just gone through the same elec or nitro headache and ended up purchasing the 600LE ..as its 'bling' oh and didnt fancy the lipo rigmoral in cost and faffing at the field

How longs the flight times with a full tank Graham? the Lipo rigmarol does annoy me somewhat..

I dont think i want a 700... way too daunting but very cool though!

Start with a 600 sport or something equally as budget. The layout is around the same whether it's electric or nitro it's the cost of the lipos on a 600 that will catch you off-guard. I've said it before why don't you come up to MK heli and have a look. We fly electric in 500 and 600 guises also nitro from 30 to 90 size. Mainly Align but we have the odd exotic such as ElyQ, Compass, Blitz Avro, Hirobo and others. You need room with a 600 and the local park isn't the place to do it. You'll get around 10mins out of a tank on the 600 depending on what you do, 3D, sport etc.

Longer flights I'll give you, but more power? You've gotta be kidding! Ask Jamie about his 8hp! electric 700.. Best your likely to get out of a 90 engine is about 4hp! You need to see a 600 on 8s (or more) too!
