protos or 450 pro

hi am recently sold my fleet apart from my protos due to lack of work but only have 1 batt so don,t know whether to sell and get a 450 instead of spending £400 on batts or even swap ?

450 pro is a very nice heli but there are budget batteries that will work as well with both heli's

Both great helis, but imho I feel it could depend on where you fly which could sway a decision if it were me. If you either belong to a club, or you have a largish field to use, I would choose the protos everytime. I feel it is more of a joy to fly a bigger heli, tracks truer, better presence in the air, and just does everything better.

Some good packs for the protos are available from hobby king at a fairly decent price. Feel that you really want at least 2600mah packs, and I have several 3000mah packs which run well with mine.

If I were to be more on a budget, have limited time or smaller field to fly, I would settle for the 450 Pro. Still is a decent heli....but personally, I did sell mine and got the 450 sport... I feel that it is that was that bit more durable, and find it flies just as well.

The Pro flies spot on compared to what I have flown in the past, pretty durable too (other than the headblock!)

Never flown a Protos, but they look pretty good.
