Head speed copterx 450

  • Head speed copterx 450

    After months of building I test hovered the copterx 450 today, its a bit to quick when i get above mid stick and lift off it climbs very quick and trying to bring it down slow is imposs.
    Is this down to head speed (13t pinion at the mo)
    I have put pitch curve in but left throttle liner
    Raptor 30v2
    Skya 500 x 2 one to be Scale Bo 105
    Copter X450 x 2
    Trex 250 x 2
    Mcpx
    Raven wing.
    Suhkoi
    Anx Floater
    Radjet 800


    DX7
    Phoenix v4

    hi mate. throttle curve ok pitch should be about -5 to +9 0r 10 if learning 3/4 stick should get you hovering

      For what it's worth I used to run at around 2500 rpm. 2750 rpm makes the thing noticeably quicker, and 3000rpm is really quick (for me!)

      In order to guess the headspeed you need to know the Kv of the motor, plus the size of the main gear (150 teeth?)
