Velcro for lipo's

Might be a silly question but. Is the velcro that you get in a shop like Dunelm mill or similiar shop the same stuff you use on lipo's

I was concerned the self adhesive bit at the back wouldn't be as strong as the stuff that came with my Blade 400? dont want any lipos flying off in mid flight

I get all my velcro from Dunelm in Huntingdon.... Self adhesive is very strong and it is only £1 per metre.

was buying Velco from a local fabric shop but at £1/m i thought it was a bit high. I have just placed an order for one hook and one loop from here, i will let you know how it goes. Velcro Self Adhesive Sticky 25mtrs of 25mm Hook or Loop on eBay (end time 05-Feb-10 20:13:57 GMT) This with postage has come out at about 50p/m so half price.

Don't forget the battery strap should be holding your lipo in place - the velcro on the pack is just to stop it sliding around, and to hold it in place when your fitting it !

I bought a load of sticky velcro from seller thecableshackuk - you can buy just loop side for lipos, saves throwing the hook stuff away !

Had a look at this, apart from the fact that 25 metres would last me several lifetimes, but to me it works out at about £1 per metre (£11 for roll of hook, £11 for a roll of loop, £2.50 postage - this might be each rather than the pair). So no savings, bigger layout of cash for more than I would need.

Just got back from Dunelms with 1 meter of velcro

I am a plank though I got both sides..should of just got the side for the lipo's
