I'm staying put for now. I don't want to get out there only to get soaked because once you're out there there's no shelter.

Saturday still looks OK ish and Tuesday looks promising (well at the moment anyway).

It's misting here now so it doesn't seem to be defying the forecasts.

Yep sorry, it was a general comment to all, but with your logistical transport issues I totally agree, I guess you have to be assured of a good or at least stable day before deciding on flying. See you around !

          I could bring a tent

I had never seen XC before. It also agrees about rain this afternoon for the area I'm looking at.

              Nice joke!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their forecasting contains so many caveats, the "I told you it might happen" statements. Not good at all, and I am speaking from a professional point of view!!!!!!!

                Re: Which weather forecast?

I now use weather pro on the iPhone.

So far it seems more accurate than the others.
It includes radar and sat images too.

Personally, I'd sooner see a Surface Pressure Chart and formulate my own conclusions

Well, it's looking like I got bamboozled today (unless it's very different over at the field). But if I had left when I planned I'd be just getting in the air about now.

I tend to use this too, it's always with you and updated regularly!

I was a weather man for twelve years and tend to look out the door to see what's coming rather than taking too much notice of anything the Jokers quote on the TV.

They are so worried about getting it wrong they nearly always hedge their bets by generalising about the possibilities and the rough areas that types of weather might effect!
