They probably gave it a revamp knowing that all the dealer sites are going to get spanked by people hungry for FBL!
Did they do anything with your engine yet Jim?Guy

Haven't got round to building the os55 yet but it wouldn't be warranty cos problem with the bearing was fuel related, lack of lub to the bearing as its now done same with my os50.Originally posted by Gate88 View PostThey probably gave it a revamp knowing that all the dealer sites are going to get spanked by people hungry for FBL!

I have rebuilt the 50 as I have spares, I've found a blockage in the exhaust fuel pipe union I only noticed it when I tried starting the engine & fuel took a long time to travel to the engine also now need starter one way bearing after messing about trying to get her started.
I have to look on the bright side"
My DSX9 is now fixed, FOC from Magregor.
600 & 450 are now fixed all cos fault with TX.
So gave my 500 some stick bashing last Sat & done main shaft bearings managed to land one in piece.
Then its was 450's turn for a stick bashing & she decides to strip front TT gear & done a piro on me but manage to land in one piece.
So yep hopefully they will be all fixed ready for the w/end to be told we have 3 of our grandchildren staying over tomorrow to Sunday.

Hi Jim and guys
New site is still a work in progress so will get better and better over the next few weeks, we do take payapl but it's not yet automated so if you need anything you want to pay with Paypal then email me (bob@skylinemodels.co.uk) and I can send you a invoice and payment details back.
There's a lot more going on than just the new website and it's all geared around making us more effecient so we can offer a better service.
Cheers
Bob

Hi again
I should have added in order to make Paypal automated we would need to have fixed shipping fees, something we have resisted until now as we feel it's only failr to keep shipping fees down to a minimum which is something which is not entirely possible with a automated system.
We are probably going to have to put a shipping scale on the Paypal part and maybe the whole site to make it fully automated, how does every one feel about that?
Maybe around 1.50 to 2 Pounds per item or a blanket charge of 10 Pounds on larger orders/items (kits etc!)
we are talking UK mainland rates here, overseas would be less straightforward.
Your feed back on this would be really helpful
Cheers

Totally agree Bob, sounds like the fairest option all round and i know customers appreciate reasonable shipping fees, unlike some i could mention or blatantly milk the shipping for extra profit your approach is much better. I think that if you were to maybe put an explanation on the site saying what you have here then it would be received well by those shopping with you.
I'm only been as honest as possible in this reply, i feel some would possibly think £10 on a kit to be a little to much £8.99 would be more easily applied and i know its only a pound but when dealing with the public it can be the difference between a sale or no sale.
I have found most people will have a price in mind they "know" is reasonable for p&p and on kits its almost always below £10..
