Tachometer

Just got an Anderson Hobby Smart Tachometer of the bay.

It was only a tenner so worth the gamble.

However i have no idea how to use it as it didnt come with a manual!!!

Has anyone used one of these at all???

It has an LCD screen for the reading and some sort of light sensor on it.

Do i need to put some reflective tape on the baldes? Or just one of them??

Does it go underneath the heli??

You will have to fix that tacho to the boom somehow and then get within reading distance of the lcd display. It is designed for 2, 3 or 4 bladed props, not really a helicopter tacho, but how you set it up I do not know.

It was a one off from ebay, thought id give it a go, but seems as though it my have been a waste of time LOL.

Oh well at least i can use it on my planks

Here guys for any of u that have a iPhone u can get s tacho app for your phone. I got it today but havnt got a chance to try it anybody interested just put helitack in to the app store it's just £2.39
