Strange the only reason to do that would be if the reciver and servos were using their own power supply.Cheers Adam

This is quite normal. Many higher power ESC's are BEC free and this appears to be one of them.
It may be faulty (?) but it isn't owing to the absence of the red wire connection.

works ok with a rec pack. but the spec is a programable 3amp BEC included in the ESC. so it should have been connected. just need to work out now how to program the thing.

Be very careful, it may have been disabled because of a known issue with the BEC.Comment
