  • maiden flight with my Blade 400

Well today I finally went out and had my maiden flight with my Blade 400 - Flight may be the wrong term it was more of a shuffle hop bounce kind of affair -
If I am honest I have been a little apprehensive about having my first flight. I guess I was dreading the build up, the excitement and it all coming to a climax with me returning home with a mangled mess and that feeling that I can’t even put into words.
Well I am glad to say on the whole, it was not too bad at all. In fact I loved it what a great feeling and certainly a move up from MCX and mSR .
I was really nervous if am honest. I had visions of it shooting up into the air and coming down with a crash and then arms being severed and not being able to call 999 for help I wouldn’t of even been able to open the door to get inside the house with no arms lol.
I didn’t manage to break anything so I class this as a successful first flight, and I guess it can only get better from now on.
Few things I am not sure About but I will ask about those in the Blade 400 section
but on the whole I really enjoyed it a real buzz all my weekends are taken up from this point onwards..Holiday this year? I dont think so..more like another Heli and all summer flying
    Cheers

    Well done matie

It's amazing how it does get the old adrenaline going isn't it. Try explaining the feeling to someone outside of RC stuff. They think your bonkers......

    Welcome to the club.

Well done mate. Crashing does not always mean a bad flight but in your first few if it comes home whole well done.

Dont worry about only hovering for 30 seconds, no will ever say thats not good enough or tell you your crap, I cant even hover for 30 seconds yet, on Phoenix I can for 6 mins in the red circle but havent got it together yet with the 450.

When your ready to fly perhaps let the blades spin for 30 secs or so to let the batts warm up.

Do you all get silly grins on your face like I do when you go out to fly lol
                Hell yeah, couldnt stop smiling.
