What did you save for when you were younger

When you were under 16 what did you save for and did you get it?

I spent about a year saving for a Kyosho Sandmaster. I cut grass, washed cars, saved birthday money etc.

I got it eventually and was very proud of it. Actually its still at my parents, might get it out for a buzz round next time i am there!

...a rainy day, and it's been peeing down ever since! lol.

My first motorised two-wheeler for when i was 16.

A Triumph Tina 50cc scoot. (I am totally embarassed to admit having one, but it was all I could afford.

It was way beyond my budget even with two part time jobs, so I settled for...

Being the "baby" of the family (the last of five), with four elder and mostly working siblings, I must confess to being somewhat spoilt as a child.

Although I did have to save etc, but I was lucky and got handed down things, toys etc....

Took me about 4 months to save for a Pentium 166MHz with MMX, got given a motherboard and oh my how I was so greatful for it, upgrading from a 386 haha.

Was half of twins - my sister died when we were 44. I remember saving for a racing bike, then a Honda CB125J, my first bike [of sorts!!].

A Commodore Vic 20 and a Tamiya Grasshopper.

I did not earn much, I had a paper round delivering those free papers which meant I had to cart around thousands of them and the pay was not very much (cannot remember exactly how much, long time ago )

My lovely Mother bought be a Commodore 64 for Christmas before I had saved enough (shows how long I was saving, the tech had moved on) and I got a new weekend job cleaning out livestock lorries (very dirty job but it paid very very well) and got myself the Grasshopper.

Then started saving for my first motorbike which turned out to be a Suzuki X50.

its not going well coz ive lost money lol
oh well am enjoying my car and have got a heli for the time being at least
