To be honest the only time my wife will go into a hobby shop is if I ask her to nip round and pick something up that I know has come in and that I'm waiting for. She has no idea which heli is which and I'm sure only puts up with my hobby as it gets me out of the house, don't think it's another bloke unless he's Stevie Wonder.
Her biggest redeeming feature however is not to sound totally shocked when I spring something on her. Having almost completed rebuiding my Spectra gasser from a ground incursion she said to me,
"Still you won't need to spend much more on helicopters now will you?",
so I replied " Not until my new one arrives",
"How much is that?",
"Oh about £1300.00 (Bergen Intrepid Gas)",
"And then that's it is it?",
"Yes Dear"
I haven't ordered one yet but I usually drop my intentions into the conversation to gauge the reaction, so I'm taking the reluctant acceptance of my proposal as a yes, result!

been thinking of this post today, wife and i both had the day off so i took her out for the day, and amazingly we ended up near a model shop, so i took her in looking for some spares and they had a blade msr bnf, so i told her how much i wanted one, which she ignored so i asked the assistant how much it was?(even though the price was on the back) £94 was the reply, so my wife said if you are still in work(my work place just announced 95 redundancies I will buy you one for your birthday (may) or xmas so i say why not buy it now and she says NO,,anyway i didnt want a full on argument so we left without it
is not being able to have a msr good enough grounds for devorce.

anyway to finish off the story me being loyal and obediant husband text my son and got him to go round and buy it for me (without telling the wife), just sneaking it out the house to go round a friends house to try it

Sorry guys but i think i can better that. my wife has been into Whitchurch models with me on about 4 occasions. So far she has bought me a galaxy magician , a raptor 30 and a raptor 50 in md530 civilian body. For xmas i got a shiney new pc9 complete with asp 61 four stroke and radio gear. (yes i fly planks as well). The only thing i need is more time off work to have fun. Life is good
